About Kat

“I am lost in the beauty of it all,

witnessing the trees as they rise and fall,

carried by the wind, in its eloquent grace,

in its comfort, I no longer brace

I am one with it all

promising to capture it, embrace it, & remember it all”

Hi, I’m Kat, and I’m lucky enough to have called Scotland my home for the last five years, after finding my own love story and eloping on a very stormy day in Glencoe. As an Australian, the beauty of Scotland has an everlasting and bewitching effect on me; from the old cities, to the castles and the history behind it all, just waiting to be uncovered. However, above it all, it’s the people. In Scotland, I have found a village, a community, and a support system that I never want to go without now that I have it. The kindness I have experienced in this country is something that will stay with me forever.

I have loved photography since I was a teenager, after my Pop taught me how to use a camera. It was a soul-fulfilling hobby I carried with me for many years. As I began to capture my own children and our growing family, I realized this passion of mine had become more than a hobby — it had become a desire for a career.

If you know me, you will know that I LOVE love, and I believe love comes in all shapes and sizes. Every story is unique, and every story deserves to be celebrated.

Becoming a mother was, and always will be, a dream come true for me. Outside of the responsibilities that come along with parenthood, you can often find me with a romance or fantasy novel, having dance parties in my kitchen with my little family, out in the garden checking on my roses, with my friends for a chip and dip night, on a solo cafe date to write or edit, or staying up too late with my husband watching the newest show that's just come out.

That’s enough about me for now. I’m excited to get to know you!
